On Friday 24th August, Saint Pius X Catholic school had cross country.

At the cross country we sat in our ages on the court and the little kids ran first then we ran after them. All the little kids ran fast and looked really puffed at the end of their races. The teachers were holding the flags and the girls and the boys were racing.

When we started running we ran fast down the road and when we were running their were some people nervous and lazy. We ran slowly when we started and all our parents were shouting loudly at us.

When we finished running we were so tired and some people were puffed. Some people that came last were angry and some people that came first, second or third were so happy. The parents were really happy with their children. Some people at St Pius X School are really fit. What an exciting day of racing.

Fruit Description

The Granny Smith apple is as green as grass, crunchy like a potato chip and delicious.

The Granny Smith apple looks like a circle tennis ball and it is so fat. It sounds crunchy when you are eating and it and it feels hard when you eat it.

The Granny Smith apple smells nice and fresh and it tastes juicy. The Granny Smith apple feels hard and it easy to hold and is smooth.

An apple tastes yummy and it is sweet. It is juicy and it is sour as a sour lollipop and satisfying. I’ve seen an apple at the orchards and super market and I’ve seen it at the fruit shop.

It could be used for a drink or for cooking. The thing that makes it special for me is I started to like apples when I was four years old.

Fraction-Week 5

  • A fraction is a piece of a whole.
  • Fractions can be ordered.
  • Fractions are like dividing.
  • My favourite thing about fractions is ordering fractions, because I found it easy.

Net book Description

My netbook is so special to me and it was given to me at the beginning of the year and it helps me do my work.

My learning tool is black and it has raised keys on the keyboard. My Triple E pc makes cool sound when I turn it on. My netbook feels smooth and it is light to carry.

My netbook is always put in the C.O.W at night to charge. It is always put in our tote trays during the day and sometimes we go home with it and it helps me do my homework.

My learning tool help me do my work in class and it gets me to the internet. Miss G can see my work very easily too.

My little laptop is used carefully and also respectfully My mini netbook is a learning tool not a toy.

We are some of the first people in New Zealand to
use netbooks for our learning.

Our learning tool is so special to me and it helps me do my work on the internet and help us get to our websites. I treat my learning tool with responsibility.
