Netbooks Reflection.

At the start of the year I was so happy and I couldn’t wait to bring my new netbooks. I was so nervous and so scared because I didn’t know how to use the netbook and I didn't know what do. I needed to make myself click on things because I didn't want something to happen.

Now I can use my learning tool and I can type fast and it is so amazing. I am so exciting because I can do anything on my netbook. My learning tool helps me find the answers and it helps me do my worked and get it finished and it’s make my brain be brave.

I am very happy because the netbook is very special to me. Also my hands doesn't hurt when I type like they did when I had to write with a pencil.  It is easier to publish my work to my blog now too.

Some people find the netbook distracting which can make it difficult for people. We have to remember to charge our netbooks at night if you take it home with you which can sometimes be hard to remember.

What I’m looking forward to next year’s learning and trying out new things on my netbook. I am looking forward to seeing and work with my new teacher.

1. A Kiwi Fruit smells fresh and fruity. It purchased at the shop or at the supermarket. Kiwi fruit grow on vines and there are large farms growing them.

The Lego story

The Lego company started in the old days, because the clothes and the houses with the wires were old. It happen in Switzerland and the characters were Oli, the father and his son Godfrey and they stared at the 1932.

Oli lost her wife and he started to make toys with wood, he had four boys and they helped him, but the little one was helping Oli lots.

Oli was trying to find a name and it was Leg Godt and that meant play well but Oli wanted a shorter name and he turned around and he saw the name called Lego, so he chose to use that.

Oli and Godfrey worked in the workshop and sold the toys, he was making toys until he gave them to the shops for some food and the children to be happy.

Oli passed away, so the son looked after the toys factory. My favourite part was when they built their own toys with the wood.

My Maths Problem Book

Report Film Festival.

At ten o’clock on Wednesday 14 November, the whole school went to Sylvia Park on a bus. It was so cool inside the bus, the bus was long because it was a double bus.

When we got to Sylvia Park, we made 2 lines per class in the carpark before we went inside. When we were inside we all went and found a chair to sit on. When we all found our seats., the Manaiakalani Film Festival started. It was so warm inside the theatre, I was so happy. We were so lucky because we got to sit in the luxury seats at the back.

The first movie was Room 3’s movie, 3 words. I really liked our movie because it was so cool. Mrs Williams, Mrs Tui and I were sitting on one chair. There was something at the back of our chair and I didn’t know what it was so I asked Mrs Williams, “Mrs Williams, what’s this?” “Push that button” she replied so I did and when I did the seat went up. It was so cool.

Our Movies were so amazing and I really like it. After the film festival finished, we all went outside and lined  up then we all walked to our bus, we went to the back and it was so cool when you go and sit at the back because when the bus turn then we will go to the other side. We were so lucky because when we come from school to go to Sylvia Park room 4 was at the back and we were at the front but we wanna go to the back, but right now we were walking faster because we thought that room 4 is at the back but they didn’t came to the bus already then we all ran to the back and we were so happy and so excited.

My favourite things was our movies because I was in the movies and it was so amazing movies.

Life Education.

Today me and room 3 went to the Life Education and we learnt about the healthy food and here's it s.

Here is a photo of me and Herod and I learnt that food goes into your mouth goes down your throat which is called a tube, and after it goes down on your throat and it goes on your stomach and it goes down to your small intestines and the small intestines brake up the food, and the healthy food goes into your blood so you can have lots energy

And I learnt a new word which is called oesophagus.

Sportsmanship

To be a good sportsmanship you should be play kindly and not fight.
To make sports better you should be supportive and not get angry with each other.
When you are playing everyone should be Friendly and not be yelling and angry of each other.
We can show sportsmanship by been fair and not to break the rules.
When you are going to be a sportsmanship you should be honest and not being lie.

Duffy Show.

Today we had a special Daffy Show and the actors were Scruffy, Marvel and Duffy.

My favorite part was when Scruffy saw Marvel’s clothes and he thought that he could make a rugby ball with Marvel’s clothes.
Scruffy ran and lifted Marvel up and he ran around with Marvel then Scruffy put down Marvel and went and was crying because he wanted a ball to play with.

The Missing Baby.

Beginning.

Once upon a time there lived a little family that was  living in a small town. They had a  baby, it was a girl and her name was Jane and she was so cute.

Middle

At night Jane’s  parents went  to  Jane to take her to  bed then when they went and put Jane on her bed and when they closed the door, and there was three man climbing up on the window and they took Jane to a big black van and they went with Jane to a big big huge house and they went and put Jane on a chair. In morning Jane mum came to Jane room then Jane mum open the door then suddenly Jane mum saw Jane bed and Jane was not inside. Then Jane mum was crying and she went and tell to her husband that the baby is gone then they called to the police and then the police said “what has happened” then Jane mum told to the police that their baby is gone last night. Jane mum told to the police to go and find her baby, then the police said “yes we will find your baby” then Jane mum said “thank you very much.” The police and Jane parents went to the shops and when Jane mum went and through the door then she looked at the three man in the shop and she saw a baby on there car then Jane mum think its look like Jane, Jane mum went and told to the three boy “is that your baby” then the three boys ran to the car then Jane mum told to the police to go and get that big black car. The police went and get the three boys and they gave Jane to their parents.

Ending

Then Jane parents told to the police “thank you very much for finding my baby” And they lived happily ever after.

The Rosary.

This is what I have done fro RE. I have done a Rosary. Ten beans means the Hail Mary and then 1 beans means Our Father and the cross means the Glory Be.

Smart Learner.

To be a Smart Learner you have to concentrate on your learning.  Also you must obey the rules. To be a Smart  learner is keeping on the right track and listening carefully if the teachers are talking to someone,  this is so important. Also use your virtues to one another and also have your stuff ready before school starts. To be responsible for everything you do.

My Holidays.

            In the holidays me and my family went to my cousin’s house and slept over. I had a late night over there with my cousin, we played lots of computer games and it was so fun.

When we woke up we had breakfast, then we packed our bag to go to the Mangere pools, but it was closed so we went to the Papatoetoe pools, I thought it was better. When we walked inside we got changed into our swimming togs, me and my two cousins were so excited that we hopped in the pool straight away. We were swimming like pretty mermaids then our parents called us and said “come and have a snack”, it was yummy strawberry ice-cream.

We had one hour left then we had to go back to my cousin’s house. When we got there we played games outside in their backyard, while our parents cooked the dinner. We were so, so, so TIRED!! that we came inside to sleep and our parents called us to go and eat the dinner but we were so tired so we carried on sleeping and we didn’t eat our dinner.

Kids for Kids Concert

On Monday 17th September 2012, Room 3 went with their Teachers to Manukau Telstra Clear Centre and our parents came with our families. Suzanne Prentice was the Conductor.

When we all were there, the people wore bright T-Shirts and black pants. We were so excited when we were there. Miss G came in her car and she said to go through in the door and we needed to stay there and wait to start the show.

When we were there Miss G gave us Knucklebones and cards to play with while waiting for the Show to begin. Miss G She told us “who wants to play knucklebones?”  me and my friends said “me me me!” Miss G. gave to us the knucklebones then she gave the card to the others girls. We played knucklebones and waited to start the show. I was feeling so shy when we were there because there was lots of people in there. Miss G came and told us to give her the Knuckle Bones, we said “why?” Miss G told us the it time to get on the stage.

We went and stood on a number in one line, then we went and walked quietly and sat down on the chair on the stage. Some people were quiet and some people were not quiet because they just turned to their friends and talked. When we were all quiet the curtain opened so the people could see us. When the people saw all of us I was so scared and nervous.

When we were on the stage singing some people were hot because of the lights on us. I was surprise to see lots of people and when we were going to see our parents we couldn’t see them because it was so dark where they were. When we were singing it was so loud. We were doing the show to show our talents and for World Vision to raise money for the poor people.

Musical Evening.

On Thursday night St Pius X school went to a musical evening and all our parents came with us. All the teachers came and the bell rang, we went and lined up in our classes.

In the hall there was lots of people and we were so scared because there was lots of people in the hall. We went and sit down on the floor and then Lavinia came and she said that room 2 will sing a prayer. When they finished singing the prayer all the people clapped loudly. Room 2 came to the floor and sat while Angelica went up and she said “well done room 2”.

Miss Williams told her class to stand up and go to the front and Miss Kaloti turn the music on and room 1 danced, and it was so amazing. When they were finished they went down and Dorothy came at the front and she said “well done room 1 that was so cool dancing”.

Room 4 came and Save’u was singing and Miss Kaloti turned the music on while room 4 was dancing and singing and some people were laughing and it was so cool. When they were finished singing the people were clapping very loudly. Angelica came and said “Good job room 4 that was so fantastic” then Angelica went and down and the room 7 boy’s stood up and bounced drums and it was so loud. When they banged the drum some people were shouted louder because it was so loud. When they were are finished Angelica stood up and said “that was so cool room 7”.

Room 3 stood up and Miss Kaloti turned the music on and we all sang. It was so great, the songs that we sang were ‘Puppet on a string’ and ‘Somewhere out there’. When we finished singing the ‘Puppet on the string’ Rachel and Ana were singing the soloist part and when they started singing Ana and Rachel had beautiful voices. All the people clapped loud when we finished.

Lavinia stood up and she said “well done room 3 that was so amazing”. Room 6 stood up and Leone was going to sing. When they started Leone was running and when the drum banged Leone was jumping and it was so loud when he was jumping. When they are finished they bowed and they went and sat on the mat. Aleina stood up and she sang the Sister Act 2 song with the school and it was so beautiful.

When everything was finished Mr Coakley stood up and she spoke to us and then we went home.
